When is a full-flow spin-on oil filter not just an oil filter? When it is the ƒ14 Stealth, the latest innovation in full-flow oil filtration developed by Pareto Point Industries (PPI).
The ƒ14 Stealth is jammed with cool benefits and hot features that take filtration to a new level. For starters, there is no bottom plate. According to PPI President Adan Reinosa, “We have removed a key restriction, making the filter more energy-efficient.” The ƒ14 Stealth provides economic and environmental relief by reducing engine wear, eliminating the need for multiple filters, lowering filtering energy requirements, and being resource efficient.
Reinosa states, “The environmentally-friendly reusable stainless steel mesh oil filter element is one of the ƒ14 Stealth’s many cool benefits. The easy to clean filter makes life easier for the end user; and it produces much smaller environmental and carbon footprints.”
The ƒ14 Stealth consists of a body made from aircraft quality billet aluminum, a 15 micron (nominal) stainless steel cleanable filter element, easy access ports to the lubrication system, and a modified version of PPI’s popular MagDog Magnetic Filter. The ƒ14 Stealth provides bypass protection, but without a bypass valve! The bypass action is located at the bottom of the filter, where reinjection of surface trapped debris is virtually impossible, as opposed to most ordinary filters, where the bypass valve is located at the top. Without a bottom plate, the ƒ14 Stealth filter assembly is free to move when bypass pressure is reached, exposing a set of bypass orifices. As there is no bottom plate, neither pressure drop nor oil flow restrictions exist. Consequently, the required filtering energy from the oil pump is minimized, in contrast to those filters having small holes or annular segments.
An optional real-time probe that identifies fuel, water or coolant intrusion can save thousands of dollars in engine repairs. Information is sent wirelessly to a PDA where a graph shows oil condition; no more guessing about when it is time to change oil. Another optional device is an on-board two-level warning indicator that sets off an alarm, first, whenever the bypass valve is open, and second, when the filter has loaded to where it needs to be changed. No guessing here either!
Reinosa states “Clean oil enables an engine to operate at higher efficiency, thereby reducing fuel consumption and emissions; and magnetic filtration, integrated into the ƒ14 Stealth filter design, has long been considered a Best Practice for vehicle maintenance. For fleets, less on-hand inventory and lower recycling costs represent additional significant benefits. In fact, each disposable spin-on filter not used averages 5KwH, or the equivalent of about 8 pounds of greenhouse gasses. The conveniently located access ports can support diagnostics, oil sampling, or may be used as a bypass filter connection.”
The ƒ14 Stealth can replace any full-flow spin-on type filter on vehicles, equipment, or machinery where oil is used as a lubricating medium. Economical and environmentally friendly, the ƒ14 Stealth cleanable filter is tomorrow’s oil filter, available today. For more information, contact Pareto Point Industries at the numbers listed below.
