Dr. Hammer attended the National Defense Institute Association Expo in Newport, Rhode Island, where he met with various Defense officials and other contractors. Representative Dana Rohrabacher, (R-CA) at right, meeting with PPI’s CEO Bob Hammer in Representative Rohrabacher’s Washington DC office. The Congressman, a senior member of the International Relations Committee, pledged to work with SEMA and his constituents to address automotive and small business issues. He also visited West Point and then went to Washington to participate in a Small Business Technology Coalition Conference and to lobby Congress as part of the SEMA delegation. Dr. Hammer was able to spend considerable time with his Congressmember, Dana Rohrabacher to discuss automotive and small business issues. The meeting was very informative. He was able to spend time in Congress talking with members of the California Delegation, including a visit to the office of his Representative Lucille Roybal-Allard. During their time on the road, the officials were able to make numerous contacts with legislators, other industry representatives, potential partners, and others.
