The APLS (Automatic Pulsed Lubrication System) is a patented method and apparatus that provides protection to the engine and drivetrain by periodically injecting filtered oil into the engine galleries while the engine is disengaged. This action provides engine pre/postlubrication, priming, and more.
Unlike “pre-lubricators,” APLS periodically pumps oil from the sump, through MagDog, into the spin-on filter, and then into the galleries, maintaining a “permanently primed” engine. APLS has a tee connection to RecOil. Adding a high efficiency filter media (2 microns) endows APLS with advanced filtration system (AFS) characteristics, including a broad range of automatic and manual routines.
APLS consists of a small transfer pump, electronic controller, modified sump plug, hydraulic and electrical parts and connectors. The pump periodically introduces oil into the engine for pre and post-lubrication, oil cooling, boost pumping, turbocharger cooling and more. Most future applications will be software driven, requiring no additional hardware.
APLS provides Sump to Engine and/or Sump to Block architecture. The System can overlay, overlap, and surpass other advanced filtration technologies:
- The transfer pump, in sump to block mode, can introduce oil into the engine for pre and post-lubrication, oil cooling support, oil boost pumping, turbocharger cooling and more.
- An electronic controller that directs the oil flow
